This is Ishaan’s story, a boy trapped in a world that nobody understands, and where all the people were laughing at him; he was happy, enjoying the simplicity and the seemingly insignificant things of life. This disability faces a lack of understanding in writing and reading, a result of problems identifying speech sounds and understanding how this relates to letters and words, since it affects parts of the brain that process language. Through it, I learned the value and the meaning of loyalty, by giving my best in teaching, to guide and show a world in which many are lost for not being equal to the common. I discovered that we can fit in a world created by God, building every day with our imagination: smiles, hugs, stories, landscapes, images, and countless other things. Along the way, we can always find a friend’s hand, and in this case, it was the art teacher, who saw more than Ishaan’s silence and understood, based on his experience, how to help him in the process of reading and writing. A different teacher who helps special children, a teacher who captivates with his way of teaching, with patience and love, without shouts, punishments, blows, and insults, things that damage and crush a person who is starting his or her life. He took Ishaan out of his jail and showed the world an extremely smart and creative person. Now, he wasn’t the stock, idiot, and lazy; now he was the magnificent and applauded boy for his beautiful works of art. Talking about special children is talking about children with different capacities; that was the main thing that impacted me in this beautiful and, at the same time, sad movie. With this, I learned that if we have difficulties, we can try and try again; with much effort, we can reach our goal. Never give up, and most importantly, never stop creating, develop your imagination, and keep dreaming.
